Job Description:
As a Sr. Staff Hardware Engineer, you are responsible for the hardware quality of Ruckus' production designs. You need to understand the hardware structure of products, provide test proposals with hardware functional Spec. and execute tests to make sure Ruckus products meet industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Review Ruckus production designs, including product requirement document, hardware functional Spec., components datasheets, schematic and layout files
- Provide comprehensive test proposals of Signal Integrity, Power Integrity and System Function to hardware design engineer for review and approve
- Execute tests efficiently and independently, provide test results within schedule
- Co-operate with hardware design engineer and software engineer to debug issues, review and compile test reports
- Understand new components qualification process and be able to manage a second source qualification
- Be responsible for the hardware quality, sum up project experience and share with team members
- Guide and supervise JDM manufactures
- Assist team members
Basic/Required Skills:
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant field
- Over 3 years of relevant experience in electrical/system level test
- Experience in the following areas, analog and digital circuit design and test, embedded system design and test, ethernet and wireless networking standards (802.3, 802.11, BLE/Zigbee), various communication protocols (PCIe, USB, SPI, I2C, UART)
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Cadence OrCAD and Allegro preferred)
- Experience with hardware lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic/protocol analyzers, temperature & humidity chambers) to debug electrical circuits
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
